Adjusting Ping.fm to post some things. Basically spending the afternoon cooking my social network stew. Facebook is whining about it too.

After last night, and a busy day today, I can honestly say with great pride, “I am tired!” There. I said it. I’m not ashamed.

Once again downloading iso files. this time, for Fedora 9. Upgrading to F10 resulted in too much debug time. My system would hang at boot. Also using Ping.fm again. Watching a recent Hak5 podcast got me fired up on it again.

The Return of Classic Muscle.
Total old-school modding. Pure gas-chugging, bad-ass street machine maddness is going to become a lost art. The price for wet-noodle homogeneity? Sent from an iPhone. Expect creative spelling.Posted by email from Utility + Utopia (posterous) | Comment »

From the secret library:
What other than passing interest has the average Joe the Plumber for lock-picking and raw steel bullets? First, it is a cult just to get information, a philosophy that there is nothing about anyone or any topic you can not learn if you truly wish to do so; no place you can not enter, nothing forbidden to those willing to pay the fare in terms of work and risk. Information confers power;...

Updates!
Best to do it all at once… Especially when it requires a restart. And I am aware I have put off the TweetDeck. Like I said: best to knock it out in one, massive download. And, it gives me time to post little things like this. Sent from an iPhone. Expect creative spelling.Posted by email from Utility + Utopia (posterous) | Comment »

The US Constitution
There is a great iPhone app that is basically just a nice, formatted version of the Constitution including amendments, bill of rights, and notes. And it is free too! The US Constitution will soon be coming under attack shortly. What side will you be on? The attackers? Or the defenders?

How to survive the attack.
According to recent revelations by Joe Biden, this book I have had sitting on my shelf for the last 7 years finally has some merit. This guy doesn’t mess around. Basically, you kill anything that attempts to get in the way of your will to survive. An urban war zone is no place for neighborly chit chat. Sent from an iPhone. Putting it all back together.
Now that I have the front axle back on with the new leaf springs and shackles, I am at the point of putting the hubs and brakes back together. Sent from an iPhone. Expect creative spelling.Posted by email from Utility + Utopia (posterous) | Comment »

Old School
These political times inspire all kind of things. I was just looking through my books and found this old classic. Although this book caused near-panic in its day, in reality, it is pretty harmless by today’s standards. Sent from an iPhone. Apocalypse Culture
In reading Cormac McCarthy’s story of post-nuclear survival in The Road, I am strongly identifying with McCarthy’s vision of the American landscape in the aftermath of total destruction.  The brutal environment he describes is probably more akin to what would actually be reality as opposed to Hollywood’s depiction of human survival based on collecting provisions from abandoned supermarkets by day...

Ping.fm seems to be a nice tool.. the only problem I am having right now is finding out where posts are going in my network.. status’ go one place, microblogs go another… and you need a word count.
